We can find out about every topic on Google. However, trusting Google search blindly can also put you in a lot of trouble. We are saying this because not every information available on Google is verified by Google. Scammers have taken advantage of this. - Whenever you find the customer care number of any company or bank from Google, be very careful. Many times it happens that scammers post fake business listings and customer care numbers. People who do not recognize them correctly call them considering them as original numbers, and become victims of scams. In this case, you should always contact customer care by visiting the official website or app.
- Whenever you open a website, do check its URL. Especially where money is concerned. If you do not know the exact official URL of a website, do not search it.
- Do not download any app from google. Instead of downloading the app from Google, download it from Google Play on Android and App Store on iPhones. Actually, there are many softwares and apps on Google which can prove to be dangerous for you.
- If you are searching government websites on Google, then verify their URL. Like banking websites, scammers also target government websites.
- Protect yourself from seeing coupons, offers from e-commerce websites on Google. Scammers have also started using this as a scam. By trapping people in this, they steal their banking details.
